Long Island University Long Island University and Global Education Initiatives, Inc. have had a close working relationship since 1997. In the past few years, GEI has sent several hundreds of college graduates from Taiwan to enroll in the MBA program and the TESOL master degree program at the university. Presently the university and GEI work together to set up TESOL schools in China. The university is the seventh largest private university in the United States. The university has three major campuses of which the C. W. Post campus is the largest. As of the end of 2003, the university had a total enrollment of about 31,500 students, of them 14,500 are undergraduate, 8,500 are graduate, and 8,500 are non-credit students. The University has 218 academic programs that award bachelor degrees, 234 programs, master degree, and 6 programs, doctoral degrees. The C. W. Post campus is distinguished by its School of Education, School of Health Professions and Nursing, and School of Visual and Performing Arts. The scenery campus, only 45 minutes from New York City by car or train, is home to the renowned Tilles Center for the Performing Arts, Hillwood Art Museum and WCWP-FM, a public radio network station. The Brooklyn campus is well known for the Arnold & Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences and School of Nursing. The campus provides dynamic curricula reflecting the great urban community it serves. The Southampton campus excels in Environmental and Marine Sciences. It operates the SEAmester Program aboard tall ships, and the Friends World Program with centers in China, Japan, England, Costa Rica and India.
