DOWNLOAD THE APPLICATION FORM
You can download the application form
and print it on your printer. (You will need Acrobat Reader for
this task. You can get
Acrobat Reader free from Adobe's web site.)
You can
download
the complete package of 6 pages. Most
likely you will not need "page 6 of PART B" - see the note
about this page below. So, to save time, you may want to download the package without this
page .
You can
also download the pages individually:

- PART B, page 4 (Not needed if
you will pay for your study yourself)
- PART B, page 6 (Needed only if
someone will provide you with free
room and board)
- PART B, page 7
After the
application form is downloaded, click File and Print on your Acrobat
Reader to print the
form. When the print configuration page pops up, make sure that
the following three items are checked: (1) Print as image, (2) Shrink
oversized pages to paper size, and (3) Auto-rotate and center pages.
The complete
package contains a total of six pages as shown
above. Please note that:

Although
LIU's original application form contains more than six pages, the
six pages are all the pages you need to fill out.

The
first 2 pages pertain to what you want to study and your educational
background. The rest of 4 pages is about your financial
ability to pay for the tuition and room and board, etc.

PART B,
page 4: Ask the person or persons who will provide money for your
study to fill out this page. Ignore this page If you will pay
for your study yourself. If you have two or more
sponsors, give each sponsor a copy of this page to fill out.

PART B,
page 6: A friend or relative may want to provide you with free room
and board. In this case, ask the person to fill out this page.
In addition
to the application form of six pages listed above, your application package must include the
following:

Application
fee: a check or money order of US$30 payable to Long island
University or Global Education Initiatives.

Transcripts
(English version) from the university or college you graduated from
or are graduating from.

Official
copy of your bachelor degree diploma.

Personal
statement: an essay of at least one page describing your background,
interest, job experiences if any, your reasons for wanting to attend
the program you are applying to enter at Long Island University, and
your plans for work after completing your study.

Two
recommendation letters from your previous professors (one of the two
letters may be substituted with one written by the GEI
representative who has been working with you.)
Send the
application package to the GEI representative in your
locality. GEI's office in New York City will review the
package before forwarding it to Long Island University.
